Pulao recipe | How to make veg Pulao | Vegetable Pulao
Veg Pulao is a bowl of Indian-style rice made with long grain Basmathi rice. Veg Pulao is made with a variety of Veggies and whole spices. It is also can be made on a pressure cooker or an instant pot.
1) Basmathi Rice - 1 cup
2) Ghee - 1 Tablespoon
3) Oil - 1 Teaspoon
4) Onion - 1 Larg
6) Carrot - 1 Cup
7) Potato - 1 Cup
8) Green Chilies - 6 to 8 large
9) Tomato - 1 Large
10) Giner and Garlic paste - 1/2 tablespoon
11) Coriander leaves - 1/2 Cup
12)Mint leaves - 1/4 Cup
13) Garam Masala - 1 tablespoon
14) Green peas - 1/2 cup
15) Water - 2 and 1/2 Cup
16) Whole Spices
* Soak Basmathi rice for 30 mins.
- Set Pressure Cooker on the stove. once hot add ghee and oil
- Add all the whole spices and saute for 30 Seconds until fragrance.
- Add chopped onions and cook until it has softened and started to brown.
- Add chopped green chilies and cook for 2 - 3 mins.
- Add Giner garlic paste and cook for 30 seconds.
- Then add chopped tomatoes, potatoes, beans, green peas and mix well.
- Add basmati rice, Chopped Coriander, and mint leaves. Mix everything well
- Roast the rice for 2 -3 mins.
- Pour the water and close the lid and after 2-3 whistles lower the flame.
- Let it be cook for another 5 -10 mins on low flame.
- Then Switch off the flame and let the pressure release naturally.
- Serve the Veg pulao with Raita or any curry.
